At EMBS, we specialise in building batteries based on lithium-ion cells. Li-ion batteries provide many times higher efficiency and energy density compared to technologically older lead-acid or Ni-MH batteries.

Lithium-ion batteries are a wide category, because there are many different variants of the chemistry used within lithium-ion cells, which strongly affects the key parameters of the battery.

Within each of the above groups, the proportions of the elements used and the different admixtures can further diversify the different types of cells. Therefore, it is extremely important to individually select the cell chemistry for each application.
