# Johnson Matthey Battery Systems joins RECHARGE Association.

We are excited to share a major achievement for Johnson Matthey Battery Systems. We have officially joined RECHARGE, the prominent European industry association dedicated to advanced rechargeable and lithium batteries. 
Our membership with RECHARGE empowers us to assume a crucial role in closely monitoring and influencing new developments at both the EU and global levels, particularly concerning regulations for li-ion batteries. This encompasses our active involvement in shaping secondary legislation for the forthcoming Battery Regulation and UN transportation requirements.

In a recent highlight, we participated in the General Assembly and actively engaged in the enlightening conference organized by RECHARGE, aptly named 'A Thriving European Batteries Ecosystem.' This event delved deep into the pressing needs and challenges of the European battery supply chain. The conference showcased dynamic panels featuring a diverse representation of business leaders and EU officials.

We are a member of the RECHARGE Association.
